Challenging Conversations: Calling Out What’s Not Ok!

BVRA News

Join Affinity Futures for a free half-day workshop where you will embark on a transformative learning experience, understanding the significance and advantages of embracing diversity and difference in the veterinary field. Through interactive discussions, we will help you to understand the importance of language, support you to recognise and confront personal and organisational biases.

What to Expect

  • Our sessions are interactive with plenty of opportunities for questions, discussion, and workshopping the concepts and ideas we are discussing.
  • Inclusion is purposeful – it doesn’t just happen. It is driven by an organisation’s leaders who recognise its value and commit to doing the work personally and organisationally to ensure Allyship is at the heart of everything you do.
  • Change is rarely easy and some of the ideas and concepts we will discuss may be new and challenging. This is all part of your Allyship journey and will move you outside of your comfort zone. Every one of us is continually learning and we ask that you approach this session with curiosity, compassion and grace.

This half day event will be held the day after the BVRA Congress on 27th September at St Johns Hotel, Solihull, from 8.30am until 12.30pm.  Refreshments will be provided during the morning.

Places are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis.  Please register your interest at info@bvra.co.uk where further information will be sent.
