Ensuring pets are protected from parasites is a fundamental part of responsible pet ownership and an essential component of veterinary care. Parasites such as fleas, ticks, mites, lice, and internal worms are commonly encountered in dogs, cats, and rabbits in the UK, and many can also affect the home environment or, in some cases, human health.
In this course, you will learn how to recognise the most common parasites affecting companion animals and understand how parasites spread and persist in the environment. You will also learn the importance of parasite prevention.
